The Pirates of the Barnyard are coming...

So ye wants to get into the Fair for free? Listen landlubbers, I will tell you the secret, but mind you not to share or it will be down to Davy Jones' Locker for ye!

Way to attend the Fair FREE!!!

** Find one of the bottles with a hidden message in stores in the community and redeem it at the Fair Office for free admission - limit one per family.

** Show off your talent at the Gold Country Idol competition on Wednesday, August 8th at 7pm.

** Our "treasured" active military personnel need only to show identification and can enjoy the Fair FREE!

** Come dressed as a pirate and march in one of the daily parades.

** Do ye love salsa? Enter the "Fire in the Hole" Salsa Competition.

** Volunteer to work at one of the non-profit booths. It's fun and supports our community!

** Need a new BBQ? Be a buyer at the Ag Mechanics Auction on Friday, August 10th.

** Support our youth. Be a buyer at the Junior Livestock Auction on Sunday, August 12th.

** Make a "Crow's Nest Cheesecake" or a "Potato Salad on the Poop Deck."

** Show off your artistic talent and enter "Plein Air Painting at the Fair" on Friday, August 10th.
