How Fast can your baby crawl? Come find out at the Nevada County Fair.
- Sunday, August 16 4:00 pm in the Special Events Tent
- Limited to the first 20 contestants in each age category.
- No pre-entries. Sign-ups will begin at 3:30 on the day of the event and end at 4:00 pm
- Co-ed heats will consist of 3-5 contestants.
- There will be no formal recognition of each heat winner, but only the final in each age category.
- Heats will not be timed, but there will be a time limit of 90 seconds for each heat, in case a heat consists of contestants who choose not to move.
- Each contestant may have only two coaches/parent/guardian. Other interested parties must remain seated so all can see.
- A coach will be on one side of the carpet, and the other coach at the opposite end. No physical assistance will be permitted from the coaches during the Derby. Coaches may use a bottle or toy to coax the child to them, but may not step between the starting line and the finish line during the Derby.
- Baby must remain on the carpet.
- Age Divisions: 6 - 9 months ~ Crawl 8 feet.10 - 12 months ~ Start on knees and crawl
