 Demolition Derby SOLD OUT

Back by popular demand, the Nevada County Fair is providing organizations and businesses the opportunity to sponsor and drive a car in the Fair’s popular Demolition Derby, while at the same time raising money for a favorite charity or service organization.
Idol Competition
August 10 [entry form]
Do you love to sing? Sign up for the Fair's "Golden" Idol Competition. Entry forms are available here. Simply fill out the form, print it out, and return it to the Nevada County Fairgrounds Office. 16 and older.
Go for the Gold
Wednesday, 4 and 5 pm; Saturday and Sunday at 4 pm
Based on the popular television show, "Minute to Win It," this fun contest encourages participants to complete a stunt within a minute to win prizes. There are no entry forms or fees for this event. Just show up 1/2 hour early at the Special Events Tent and get ready to play.
"Eureka" Cupcake Wars
Wednesday at 1 pm.
There will be four half-hour contests beginning at 1 pm. We'll provide the cupcake, icing, sprinkles and other types of decorations, and you have to create a cupcake to reflect a theme announced at the beginning of the contest. There are no entry forms or fees for this event - just show up 1/2 hour early at the Special Events Tent and get ready to have some fun.
Diaper Derby
Sunday at 5 pm
Find out how fast your baby can crawl by entering the Diaper Derby. There are two categories: 6-9 months and 10-12 months. Limited to the first 20 contestants in each age category. There are no entry forms or fees for this event - just show up 1/2 hour early at the Special Events Tent and get ready to have some fun.
Locks of Love
Saturday from noon to 3 pm
The Designer's Hair Salon is sponsoring a Locks of Love event. Donate your hair to help provide a hairpiece to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Stylists will be available to assist with the donation process, as well as to style your hair for free. To donate to Locks of Love, hair must be 10 inches or longer, clean and dry, and free from bleach. Hair that has been colored or permed is accepted. There are no entry forms or fees for this event - just show up 1/2 hour early at the Special Events Tent.
Barbershop Quartet
Sunday at 1 pm [entry form]
Anyone of any age can enter! Both male and female quartets are welcome. Entry form required.
Scrapbook Page Layout
Thursday from 4 - 6 pm
