Artwork/Theme Design Contest for the 2012 Nevada County Fair
“Barnyard Safari” is the theme for the 2012 Nevada County Fair!
Now that we have chosen a theme, the Fairgrounds is sponsoring a contest to find artwork that best illustrates the new theme. Submit the winning artwork and win $250 and a 2012 Nevada County Fair package.

Rules for Artwork/Theme Design Contest
- Contest begins January 19, 2012 and runs through February 10, 2012
- Open to Nevada County residents only
- Artists may use any medium
- Entries must be submitted on 8½ x 11 paper
- Artists can submit a maximum of three entries
- Entries should contain artwork only. Entries do not need to include Fair dates, theme or name of Fair.
- On the back of each entry, it should include the entrant’s name, address and telephone number and a copy of the following statement with your signature: “The logo entry (entries) is the artist’s own original, artistic creation and intellectual property.”
- For judging purposes, the artwork should not be signed on the front.
- Entries may be submitted to the Fairgrounds Office at 11228 McCourtney Road or mailed to the Nevada County Fairgrounds at PO Box 2687, Grass Valley, CA 95945
- Winner will receive $250 and a 2012 Fair package that includes two free admission tickets for each day of the Fair, a 5-day parking pass for the Fair, and ride coupons.
- The winning entry may be altered for marketing purposes.
- Artwork will be used on various Fair promotional pieces, including, but not limited to, print ads, t-shirts, buttons, banners, posters, flyers, and handbooks. Artwork will also be used in social media marketing.
- Entries become the property of the Nevada County Fair and will not be returned to the artist.
- The Nevada County Fairgrounds (17th District Agricultural Association) will solely decide the winner and all decisions are final.
